Meet River, a stunning 17-month-old brindle American Staffordshire Terrier NYACC survivor. At the tender age of 8 months, he was found running as a stray in the harsh and frigidly cold January NYC streets. Currently, this darling gentleman is in a home where he does not get along with the other divaliciously dominant female dog. Thus, in his best interest, we are searching for a home where River can enjoy being an only fur-child. However, he will love to play and walk with other dogs. Just now he needs a little decompression after such a stressful time in this home. Ladies, besides his devastatingly good looks and enjoying long walks on the beach, he is also your man because he prefers the gentle harmonic voice and touch of a lady. Although, gents should not distress since River has plenty of room in his heart for you as well, he just needs extra time to warm up to you. Overall, River?s heart joyously skips a beat at the prospect of going for a walk, playing in the yard, going for a run, taking a swim, going in the water, playing with the garden hose, bath time or just carelessly leaping through the sprinklers. He thinks he is a dolphin! In the yard, he will provide you with endless laughs playing fetch, sharing his toys, or playing with you! Oh, did we mention that he could win a gold medal for leash walking- he prefers walking on your left side. When not being a doggy version of Tigger, River enjoys relaxing by your side. He will curl up in his favorite blanket and watch cartoons! What a buddy for those lazy Saturday mornings- or active ones! River is just perfect and had a rough start to his life. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and housebroken! River is already packing his bags for his move. I saw him putting his toys, favorite treats and food, blanket, crate (although, he isn?t the biggest fan of it), leash, and medication (he can have a sensitive tummy sometimes) in his suitcase in anticipation for his new family.
